Hibernate已经使用外部dataSource,因此它不使用internal ConnectionProvider mechanism.

您正在获得异常,因为Hibernate可能会忽略正确配置的dataSource并尝试使用C3P0ConnectionProvider,而您不提供URL,用户和密码.
